Playing with bushings and a cam

COOL! Your piece of pipe is available from Kent-Moore tools as a required tool from GM. Theirs is made from cast iron and costs $$$

I did my bushing a year ago- I drilled the shells and cut grooves into the poly bushings so I can lube them if they start squeaking. Doubt I'll ever need to, there's enough lube on them to slide an aircraft carrier across a gravel driveway.

Well I think you need cast iron!! Really? This pipe was 1mm wall thickness, just some exhaust pipe that was laying around. There is some flex in the a-arm, it doesn't need to be a tight fit, I think there is a 1/4" to play with. I got it also on cam.

These bushings I use are with graphite, pre lubed and pre grooved.

I don't think cast iron is needed either, but that's what Kent-Moore made it from. Actually, I think it's "Spent-More" they got some big bucks for making/selling those special tools to GM dealers.

Graphite may be a better pick for bushings. Nice pictures of your install too!
