Brake caliper - finally the leak stopped

For years I have been fighting with the caliper inlet seal, the copper washer.... it would leak because the hexagon of stainless braided hose would always dig into the copper and damage the washer. I never looked at the stock hose because those went to AutoZone with the cores, I never even disconnected them from the calipers...Here's what I did not know:

The stock style hoses have a 5/8" hexagon, larger than the stainless hose 9/16" hex.... maybe there are stainless braided hoses with the larger hex - dunno....

The ugly (and no, I did not over-tighten it, don't take much to destroy the rwasher) :

I stopped at a NAPA store and asked if their brake hoses have a collar at the end where the copper washer is. We looked thru their catalog and the guy showed me the hose... looked just like what I got but the washer was huge compared to my washer... then I noticed the hex is bigger.... no wonder the copper washer crushed with the smaller hex :tomato:
