got a tremec out of 2000 rustang GT yesterday for a really good price. has anyone ever adapted one to the SBC? just trying to figure out the bellhousing/adaptor issue.

I think Norval had an adapter plate made, I'm sure there are others who did the same.
That's a T5 ??

The Mustang Tremec is a 3550? Isn't the shifter in the forward position?

i think you should be able to use a lakewood bellhousing that mounts to a chevy on the motor side and a ford on the other it looks like this

that will get you a blow proof housing and an adaptor

not that i can tell. shifter looks to be right on the end of the tail shaft.
after taking a little better look at it today, i'm not so sure i can make this one work. looks like the bellhousing is cast as one piece with the front of the gear box.
now if there's an adaptor plate available, that's a different story.
