Just a quick couple questions. Is there any reason other than convenience that the C4 strut rods have a slight S shape to them? I've always assumed that it was because it was convenient to have the inner pivot points attach to a strong point (in the aluminum housing) such as the batwing cover bolt area (requiring some offset in the location), rather than some (weaker) 3/8" bolt holes in the bottom of the aluminum housing, similar to C3 iron differentials. Is that correct? Also, is the camber geometry essentially the same as if the struts were straight like C3 struts?

Thanks,
Mike

Yes, that's what I always figured too. Since the alu case is kind of thin they moved the location to the mating area of those 2 flanges, much stronger. The C3s had angled strut rods too, basically the ends were welded on at an angle.
