Right now I have a complete 454 with TBI out of a truck, so I would imagine it's a 4 bolt main.

I'm going to build it for this

I wonder how much these cams would put out

Lift: .544''/.564''
Duration: 270°/278°
RPM Range: 1600-5800

Lift: .564''/.570''
Duration: 278°/288°
RPM Range: 2000-6200

I'll deck the block and get the compression up, as well as blue print the entire block.

Maybe do some minor port work on the heads

Check the casting number on the heads- I'll bet they're the "peanut port" heads. You'll need a 14-71 blower to get any airflow.

For the Cams we'll need to have the effective duration at .050 and the LSA and to be complete the intake lobe center line.:noworry:

Don't be hatin' my maro, especially if you have a mudbogger riding redneck car! :D

Always that German fueling the fire from the sideline LOL :) This is proof he simply misses his riced out V6 camaro he tried to pass off as an ss :D ;)

yup need the .050 numbers as a loose rule of thumb lift makes torque duration make hp more duration also raises power band. the lsa the tighter the higher and narrower the power band....... your going to want a fair amount of lift a little shorter duration and a little wider LSA to make it have a nice wide power band with lost of torque......

What is your end goal? ie are you going to have to drive this to work
Is the TBI going to stay?
Have you ever dealt with a BBC?
Peanut Ports.....Have you ever heard of John Lingenfelter?

This is kind of funny due to the fact that the last time I helped anyone with a BBC combo for a 4X4 it resulted in a Ford guy turning to Chevy. Something about all four wheels being able to smoke the monster mudders from a 35mph roll that just makes you a kid again! Kid as in he needed to change his pants after he tried it!
