In my research for info about swapping a TH350 for a TH200 4R I ran across this "There are two types of TH200 metric trannys. A TH200C (lockup converter) and a TH200 (non lockup)". I have found what I believe is a '83 200 4R but how can I be for sure it's the 4R?

Forget anything to do with a plain jane 200 c or not.....junk....

I know MY 200 4r as essentially two segments to the pan....

TimAT is the guy to say for sure....

look on sites for various pan descriptions....

usually a very good indicator....

"look on sites for various pan descriptions...." I took your good advice and
the 200C has 11 pan bolts and the 2004R has 16 pan bolts. The pans are very different shaped. I think I can ID one from another now. Thanks
