the trim tag on my 1970 corvette has the numbers 403-which means it had black leather, 972-which is classic white, and it also has B02 and i'm not sure what those indicate, any insight would be appreciated
thanks

I dont know if 70 is any different than 77 but on a 77 A means august since the build year starts with August so I am pretty sure that B02 means your car is a very early 70 built in Sept 02

A = August is correct for '71 and later. For 1970 A = January due to the short production year. In 1970 B = February.

This is correct. Just looked it up in my 1968 to 1982 corvette restoration guide.

It is unique for '70 since the first month of production was January. Basicly A=1st month of prod, B=2nd month, C=3rd month, etc. So most years A=Aug, but not 70 :D
