Hard to open door

Since I have owned the car the drivers side door has been hard to open from the inside.
The door pops open just fine from the outside.
But ,you pull on the handle from inside you have to use your shoulder to get outof the car.
This is going to be one of my winter projects to fix this door problem
Do you all have any idea what parts I am going to neeed to fix this

Hinges might be worn and letting the door sag,or the linkage inside the door is out of adjustment. the only 2 things i can think of.

Remove the door panel and watch as your trying to open the door, you may have to take the slack out of the connecting rods, Lube the pivot joints and replace worn guide bushings. Lube all moving parts with white lube grease and then wipe off the excess. Have fun.

If it opens fine from the outside it's probably the rod that runs from the lever to the latch mechanism, probably needs to be shortened to make up for wear. It is pretty easily adjusted with the door panel off as Cherry suggested.
