Differential Swap

My 84 Crossfire was just turned into a parts car by a drunk driver, while it was parked in front of my home. What I need to know is will the differential from that car fit into a 1985, automatic transmission equiped, Corvette Coup?
 
I think it is a direct swap except your gear ratio may be way different (not good).
 
Yes, the 85 auto has a dana 36, just like all 84s. The D44 and D36 can be swapped but it's not a direct swap (the C beam ahs to be exchanged or modified) but that's not an issue here.

Thanks for the info and the condolences. I am not waiting for insurance,not that I dont need it, I was lucky enough to find a good deal for a low mileage 85 Coupe so I jumped on it.
