Center console surround painted

Took the center console apart, managed not to break anything.... I had some Le Mans Blue leftover paint from when I painted the '79, it matches the 2006 perfectly :nuts:



I installed the Ipod adapter while I had it all apart :thumbs:

Very nice! So how did you paint it? Assuming it is base/clear. Guess it adheared well.

IPOD? I still have the original radio in mine....sometimes I get nice music in between the crackling.:crap:

Yes, it's base/clear. The piece was already painted silver/grey like the small pieces left/right of the intrument cluster (those are next).

I just degreased it, scuffed it with 400grit, degreased again, sprayed black base, blue base and two coats clear.

Great idea. It gives a very slick touch to the interior!
