Only when in motion. When parked, it will not.

Couple of years ago I had a front hose totally crap out, and so fried that caliper/pads/rotor....

try NAPA, where I paid 30 bux ea for two new rotors....USA made supposedly....but they been fine so far....

you may want to replace that pad, the other one could be fine though.....

I asked the daughter if she had heard any noises. She said only when she came to a stop? WTF? Then she said she was stopping yesterday and heard something fall out of the front. She got out and the pad in the picture was laying on the ground! We've talked preventive maintenance many times:clobbered:

Pad was laying on the ground!? Damn. Glad my son has a ways to go till he can drive. I'd take his car completely apart, every nut and bolt. Then tell him he can drive again when it's put back togather.

Yep...the heat was so intense, apparently, that it warped the pad enough that it fell out of the clips.:gurney:

What Noise?

I had a front pad to break apart and do that to a rotor and I never heard a sound. So don't be too hard on her about it.:smash:

That is probably the worst I have ever seen as far as pad wear is concerned. I do have a story to go along with it though. My son, came home from school one day telling me his truck was making a noise when he was braking. We pulled the wheel off and the pad had fell out and was wedged between the rotor and the dust shield. He got new pads and a rotor that day.

I bought an old 84 Licoln off a retired judge back in 94 for $200 because he couldn't figure out how to fix it. Long story short, a year later or so we took it 30 miles to a party. Half way there, a pad popped off the front, and here comes the scraping. I decided to just take it easy, go to the party, and return home. The next day, the rotor was just as bad as that picture.
