73 bumper reinforcement install

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a few alignment tips when installing the front bumper reinforcement. Currently, I have the bumper bolted up loosly to the frame rails and the rad support but cannot move the assembly any further back to pick up the front nose bolt. It seems I have to move the unit back about another 3/4" to pick-up the last bolt. If anyone has experience in this install, please jump in. I'm going to try tilting the unit up at the nose to see if that helps. After that, I'm out of ideas.

I am guessing that the front bumper is not too different from the later models - I had difficulties fitting my front bumper and had to shave the impact absorber quiet a bit. i would think that the '73 isn't much different....

OEM or aftermarket bumper ??

Tru-flex aftermarket bumper. I got the alignment sorted. Just had to lift the front clip.
THe unfortunate part is I cracked the filler on the cover. Damn!!
