Hey guys, finally catching up on many projects and ready to do a mural under my hood on the c5. I hate the idea of airbrushing on the fabric. Am I looking at paint possibly peeling/blistering on the hood due to heat if I leave off the hood liner? Is this an issue? I wouldn't think so but just checking first.

THanks in advance.

My Z28 had a hood liner and the '06 C6 has a hood liner too.... I believe that if GM thought the paint on the hood was fine without the liner it wouldn't be there or it would be an option that the customer pays for ....
That said, I don't have a hood liner on the '79 and the paint is fine so far.

Did you consider flipping the hood upside down, soaking the liner with fiberglass resin and then sand/prime/airbrush ??
