Can the body be lifted up with a 1 ton shop crane and straps? How high do you need to lift to clear the frame? Can this be done having an eight foot ceiling hieght? What else do I need beside the dolly?

Thanks,
Danny

Yes, I did it with a cherry picker with a long boom. You'll need to lift it high enough to roll out the frame. If you roll out the frame backwards, you'll need to lift it high enough to clear either the tank or if removed, the rear frame/kicked up part.

I had the boom INSIDE the car, removed the doors and bolted a chain to the door hinge mounting holes and the harness bolts. Worked like a champ. It can be done with an 8ft. ceiling height.

I did it by myself but you may want to get some helpers to help guide the body and roll away the frame. A load leveler is nice also.

My son plays football, so when ready I called the D-line and asked for help,
Everything was disconnected so it was pretty easy.
Four guys on each side of the car started slowly in case any we forgot some wire or something and then up up she went.
We just rolled the frame from under and slid the wood buck.
took about 5 min.
Now i use the cherry picker to lift it around the garage when I need to test fit the chassis.
