Corvette Video Racing

I don't really know anything about racing video games but a freind who is really into it showed me this video (because it is a Corvette). I was pretty impressed, the sound is great! Almost makes me want to go out and get the stuff it would take to do this, almost.

I looked into getting all the stuff to for this game and for what it cost I could go actual racing

Is it really that expensive? I admit, I know absolutely nothing about what it takes to do this. The guy that showed me this said it was lame, that there was better.

What does it take (equipment and $) to do this?

Just the steering wheel and the game

My computer didn't really run it too well so I would have to upgrade it as well

For the best steering wheel available it's about 220 dollars

I have a cheaper steering wheel for my brothers xbox and it's ok just kind of small

There's a fan site where people model their own cars, one guy (umma gumma) did a whole bunch of realistic vettes.
