Exhaust Open, adjust the intake rocker, Intake Close, adjust the exhaust rocker, right?

Checking piston to valve clearance:

I adjusted two of the rockers over one piston, rotated the motor so that they both went through their cycles (I watched the valves move) and there are no valve marks in my playdough.

I leveled the playdough off at the top of my valve reliefs. Unless I adjusted them wrong, I guess I don't really have a need for valve relief pistons, even with .576 intake lift and .594 exhaust lift!

The lifter needs to be on the base circle. So if you have the exhaust open you adjust the intake;. however, make damn sure you're not on the overlap part.
