Took the car to vintage race today.
The timing system was malfunctioning the whole day, and I could only do three runs (before it started to rain).

On the first race I didn't get any time slip at all. (G-tech 13.4)

The second race was the best one, just a little spinning on first gear out.
Of course did I only get times for a 1/8 mile, but my G-tech said 12.76 on 1/4 mile.

On the third race I floored it to early and the tires started spinning, but I got a time for the 1/4 mile, 13.44 (G-tech said 13.27 which was quite near)

This VW made the 1/4 mile on unbelivable 10.08

Not bad at all.... did you buy new tires or is this 12.5 sec with the old (hard) tires ? You had traction problems, right ??

That's a 10 sec bug with a roof rack :shocking:

I have borrow brand new Hoosier slicks from my neighbour, but when trying to mount them I found that the lug nuts where to short, so I had to use my old/hard tire's once again.

Well... it wasn't 12.5
I would guess of something near 13.0
But with the 20 years old Nitto tires (hard as bakelite) 13 sec it's a decent ET.

My buddy took a video of my first race.
I can check if he have upload it somewhere in the cyberspace.
