movie called The Snake & The Mongoose

A movie called The Snake & The Mongoose. It is the story of Don Purdhomme and Don McEwen.
Great original old video clips of them racing back to the early 60's through the late 70s.
As they were both from southern CA tso here are a lot of old drag videos from Lion,
Orange County, Long Beach and Formosa drag strips.The actors were good and the guy
playing the Snake really looked like him when he was young. I would recommend this
movie to anyone interested in drag racing.

i got the dvd and while some of the vintage footage was good and the restored transporters were great i thought the plot or story line somewhat lacking. but in all it was nice to see a drag racing movie, and as far as that goes it was better than " heart like a wheel " which totally sucked , but I've never been a muldowney fan. wheres the Garlits movie?
